The present simple tense: regular verbs

Regular verbs in the affirmative form of the present tense are conjugated as follows:

To want

He/She/It wants

To talk
I talk

He/She/It talks

Note that we use the infinitive form without to for all pronouns, except for he/she/it, where an s is added at the end.

To rain → It rains a lot in London.

The present tense is used to talk about habits and general truths.

I wake up at 7 a.m. every day.

The sun rises in the east and sets in the west.
