This statement is false. Brent reports that the rate of obesity in America is "significantly higher than in any other country in the world". If this rate is higher in American than in other countries, then the percentage of obese or very overweight people in the America is NOT the same as in other countries.
This is a true statement. When Brent asks Moira, "Why are Americans so fat?", she replies, "the American diet often consists of large portions of food high in saturated fat." She goes on to say that she finds the amount of "junk food" consumed by Americans to be astonishing (or amazing). "Junk food" is a term used to describe food which has little or no nutritional value such as fast food from McDonald's or candy with artificial colors and flavors.
