To tally is often used to talk about counting votes and scoring goals in a sporting context:
We tallied the votes several times, and it still seems that George W. lost the election. Shall we count them again?
The football team tallied two goals in the last few minutes.

The expression "over the weekend" indicates that this action will take place on Saturday or Sunday (or both), before Monday's meeting.
