Indefinite articles

Indefinite articles come before an unspecified person or thing:

	Singular	Plural
♀	una	unas	una amiga, unas casas a female friend, houses
♂	un	unos	un perro, unos abrigos a dog, coats

Note: una changes to un in front of a feminine noun with an initial stressed syllable that begins with the letters a or ha:

Un arma pesada, un hacha afilada.

A heavy weapon, a sharp axe.
