Modal verbs in the future tense

Reminder: the modal verbs are potere (can, to be able to), dovere (must, to have to), volere (to want to) and sapere (to know how to). We generally use them in their conjugated forms, followed by another verb in the infinitive.

Marta sa giocare a calcio.

Marta knows how to play soccer.

This is how the four modal verbs are conjugated in the future tense:

Io dovrò

Anna potrà incontrare Magda dopo il lavoro.

Anna will be able to meet Magda after work.

Ruggero vorrà andare a vedere le anatre domani.

Ruggero will want to go see the ducks tomorrow.
