-Ruft Magda bei Dr. Meyer an? -Nein, sie ruft nicht an. (trennbare Verben: Präfix am Satzende)

-Is Magda calling Dr. Meyer? -No, she is not calling him. (Separable verbs: prefix at the end of the sentence)

  • For questions with a question word, the word order is: Question word + conjugated verb + subject:

- Warum will Anna das Hotel verkaufen? -Weil sie nicht im Hotel arbeiten möchte.

-Why does Anna want to sell the hotel? -Because she does not want to work in the hotel.
