La conséquence

In order to introduce a consequence, we can use the following terms and expressions:

•  donc (so, therefore, thus), alors (so, then), c’est pourquoi (that’s why, which is why), c’est pour cela que (that’s why), par conséquent (consequently, as a result).
J’ai froid donc je mets un pull I’m cold so I put on a sweater.
Je ne t’aime plus alors je te quitte I don’t love you any more so I’m leaving you.
Marcel a travaillé toute la nuit, c’est pourquoi il est fatigué ce matin. Marcel worked all night, which is why he is tired this morning.
•  Or these verbs: entraîner (to lead to, to bring about), provoquer (to provoke, to cause) et permettre (de) (to allow, to enable).
L’alcool au volant provoque beaucoup d’accidents. Drinking and driving causes many accidents.
La grève de la SNCF entraîne des embouteillages. The SNCF strike leads to many traffic jams.
