Negative sentences
To construct a negative sentence, add a no before the verb or pronoun: (subject) + no + (pronoun) + verb + object
Tengo dinero → No tengo dinero.
I have money → I don’t have money.
Teo ha ido al cine esta tarde → Teo no ha ido al cine esta tarde
Teo went to the movies this afternoon → Teo didn't go to the movies this afternoon.
Pasarán → No pasarán.
You shall pass → You shall not pass.
Note: when there is a pronoun in the sentence (se, la, lo, le, me, etc.), place the no just before it.
A él le gusta la cerveza → A él no le gusta la cerveza.
He likes beer → He doesn't like beer.
